:( Hey all! :(

I am embarking on my first build and I need the opinion of the greater beings in deciding on a MoBo. I'll be running a 64-Bit system for, and no offence to the Gamers, Revit Architecture, 3DsMax and Adobe CS4 Design.

The components I've decided on are as follows:

CPU: Intel Q9400
RAM: OCZ 3X16004GK
GPU: NVIDIA Quadro FX580
HDD: WD5001AALS
ODD: Samsung SH-S223B
PSU: Corsair TX650W
Case: Antec 902

I have been contemplating the following MoBo:

Intel DP45SG
Asus P5E3 Premium
Gigabyte X48T-DQ6
LAN Party GF 9400-T2RS

I am undecided due to some of the bad reviews they've received! Any recommendation/ suggestion will be greatly appreciated. Sorry for the epistle.

Much thanks and God be with you geniuses.

Of the choices there I would go with the p5e3 premium or the p5e deluxe.

But if I may ask, for about a bit more why not build a core i7 system. really it's with the kind of work your doing that it shines the most.

You are right man! It would only mean that I'd have to go look for a compatible MoBo; a very daunting task. But you are correct!

Any suggestion on a LGA1366 socket MoBo? Much Thanks!

I personally prefer Asus mobos, I use the P6T, but they are a bit pricey for 1366 at the moment. You can grab the Gigabyte GA-EX58-UD3R at a very reasonable price.

You will also need triple channel memory like this

or if you want 12GB pick up two kits.

Thanks for the info!

If I go with the i7 I plan on getting OCZ 3X1600LV6GK (they seem very fast), should I need more RAM I could get another kit later. By the way, I hear 4Gb sticks will be coming out in the near future.

Thanks man!

Watz up SPINNY?

Pardon my ignorance but how do you get tri-channel from four (04) DIMM slots? I'm with you on the P6T but V2, only it cost approx $ 100.00 more than the 'G'. Do you think it's worth the extra $$$$?

Thanks guys, you've been awesome! I'll let you know which way I decide!

Hay Guys and Girls too!

I have charged the credit card and I'm now waiting!

CPU i920
RAM OCZ3X1600LV6GK
MoBo Asus P6T Deluxe V2
GPU PNY Quadro FX580
HDD WD500AALS (X2 for RAID 1)
ODD Lite-On iHOS104

Did I miss anything? Oh the Phillips screwdriver!

Thanks all!
