With the VCR output locked on one source and while viewing another, do you
ever get 'electrostatic crossfeed' from the VCR source to the TV output? By
'electrostatic crossfeed' I mean no discernible signal crossfeed but an
intermittent crackling which goes away if you switch off or mute the VCR
source, and which can be heard more clearly if you mute or switch off the TV
source (the source, not the TV itself, obviously).
I have the following setup:
TV SCART attached to TV
1 attached to AV2 of Panasonic DMR-E100H for recording in RGB
2 attached to Pace Twin TV output for viewing and dubbing in RGB
3 attached to Pace Twin VCR output for viewing and dubbing in CV
4 attached to AV1 of Panasonic DMR-E100H for recording in CV, viewing in
RGB.
5 attached to CV TV out of a Pace analogue MSS-100 sat receiver
If I do the following:
1 Lock 5/Aux (my Pace sat) as the VCR source for SCART 1
2 Switch the TV source to any other source such as 2 (my Pace Twin)
I then get the 'electrostatic crossfeed' as follows:
* It only happens with the VCR output locked to source 5, none of the
other VCR source positions are affected, unless I move the Pace sat to
another channel, in which case the problem follows it, but is perhaps less
severe.
* It affects the TV sound output from all the other 4 sources, regardless
of whether those sources are switched on/off, muted, etc, but the TV sound
ouput from 5 itself is not affected.
* VCR output on 1, and therefore a recording made via it, is not
affected.
