Is there way to modify cpu fan to normal fan, I have two ex dell xps 120mm delta fans which have 4 pin motherboard connector, when I connect them to normal fan, 3 pin connector they work but they extremely fast and very noise, is there way to modifier them so they work under normal rpm or I would need speed control device, as well they are much slower on 4 pin Molex.
normal fan have, black, red, yellow this one have B, R,Y and blue.

Look around for fan mods. By splicing the wires around you can make it run at 5v, 7v, 8.7v or it's normal 12v. Deltas are very high RPM/CFM fans so they really need to be regulated to keep the noise down. The 4th wire is the speed control so by you connecting to a 3 pin header the fan is always running full speed.

or you could do something like this and add spped control right into the wire

Thanks for replay as well I was thinking, will it help if I connect this fans to blue wire on cpu pin, can I overload the speed control by attaching two more blue wires?

you need something to regulate the voltage that is supplied to the fans, id suggest looking on ebay for 'fan controller' and seeing whats out there.

could I use one of this Link for 3 fans ? I would modify it so all 3 fans are connected to one fan controller. This first article is great and on 9 cm fan it work quiet however on 12 cm fan on 12 v my fan was very loud and was hovering on the desk lol even on 7 and 5 v it was still very powerful and loud.

The problem is hooking up 3 Deltas to a motherboard header. Most normal fans only consume a fraction of a watt but Deltas consume much more because they spin a lot faster. The motherboard header only supplies a couple watts so with high powered fans it's a good idea to have each on it's own header. Something like this would be good.

Ok Thanks ATM I don't have money to spend on pc but will definitely buy speed control.
