I have a Cheetah 15K HD and want to buy an adaptor to use with my desktop motherboard. I have a motherboard with SATA @ 6Gb/s. Will my motherboard fully support the 15K drive or will there be some other bottleneck rendering it less than optimal?
The spec sheet on the Cheetah 15K.4 SAS drive says it will support 6Gb/s with a sustained transfer rate of 122-204 MB/s so the SATA 3.0 won't be a bottleneck.
