I have a friend with a gateway gt5414e, and it can take anywhere from 1-20 times hitting the power button before complete power up. It will start the fans, the dvd burner lights but not complete power up. Ive read a few things i can do to test if the switch is bad, but its not my comp so im a little leary. Do these systems lean more toward a bad switch or power supply?...Was thinking of adding a bigger power supply anyway, but if the switch is bad will have same issue...any ideas?...
