My pc specs:
Aerocool high tech 7 pro
intel i7 950
corsair ram ddr3 6gb 1600mhz
msi x58 pro-e
2x western digital 500gb
lg blue ray
card reader

watt calculators i have use estimate 690-700 watt.

That seems quite high, what graphics card are you using?

Also with a PSU it's best to go with a good brand, OCZ, Corsair, or seasonic are the best

2x 9800GTX+ BFG OC
3GB OCZ 1600mhz RAM
Coolermaster HAF

There is no way that setup will use 700watts! not with a single 4870.

still, +1 for corsair 750

How many watts do you think it will need? Is a 600watt psu enough???

You're right mi1ez I misread his original post, thought he was running CF. A good 600W would work just fine.

If you're sticking with one video card, then the Corsair HX520 is plenty; otherwise I'd recommend the Seasonic M12D750.

From reviews i have read in many forums i am now between the ZALMAN ZM750-HP 750W and the SEASONIC M12D-750 80 PLUS 750W.

I have read that seasonic is better quality but the zalman is quiter, has lower temps and cables not needed can be removed.

Out of those 2 definitely the Seasonic, but I would still go with the Corsair HX750.
