ok hears the question are crts better for gameing to lcds, use a crt to play games he says it's just better higher res and theres no worrk about backlights going bad like on a lcd, i found this were house that has over 200 hq crts, these crts where going to be used in casinos so they are ment to be on 24/7 and have good color, they are 19ich view sonics, they are selling them for 10 each new unopen, should i get one, i am useing a 9800gtx superclocked

Seriously? You have the option to get a new(albeit old tech) monitor for $10 and you have to ask if you should?

 

Of course, get 2.

 

lol I paid $130 for a used 21" and $1.07 for a Dell 17" both are in my sig. Both work perfectly.

The price is good so you can't loose. I think a few years ago it was true but
TN panels have come a long way so I would say quality is the same/better now on LCD. there is a reason why they are selling these for 10$.

the reason is because they ended up useing lcd, but these were the best that viewsonic, what res should i use on it,it;s been a long time since i used and crt, is 1024-768 good

Those should be good to 1600x1200 or higher. Remember get 2

 

I just checked, the ones I saw ranged from 1600x1200 to 2048 x 1536 max resolution.

dude, get three! one as a main, one as a secondary and one as a replacement, I'd love to get one of those to put myself a music PC based on a P4 or something.

Although LCDs are now superior in almost every way to CRTs, I'd grab a couple of those if I found an awesome deal like that. $10 for a fairly nice, 19" high res display? Definitely worth it.
