FINAL 2 Parts to System... SUGGESTIONS ??

Had bunch of extra stuff accumulate over lots of time so i pieced together the following that i thought i would usejust for gaming.

NZXT tempest case
Gigabyte UD3R board
Core 2 Duo R 8600 PCU
HIS Radeon 4800 series
Corsair 650W PSU
Hitatchi deskstar SATA HD
Maxorb CPU Cooler


Now,... i can get eihter xp pro or Visa basic for Free........what should I Install.

i can also get the following RAm for Free so for my app are there any opinipns?? The corsair and the OCZ show onthe MOBO compatibility list but i can imagine that any DDR2 would be an issue

Crucial ballistic tracer 2 x 2 Gig DDR2 pc 6400 4-4-4-12

Corsair Dominator 2 x 2 Gig 8500

OCZ Gold 2 x 2 Gig

I think any of those RAM types would work. Nice timings on that Crucial.

Vista would give you DirectX 10 , so some games would look better. Also, if you can get a 64-bit version of Vista, you'd see 4 GB of RAM instead of 3.5.

Might want to duel install on that, XP-Pro 32bit first then Vista 64, personally I'd wait for 7
