my xfx 4830 does not downclock automatically ever is this normal?
it constantly runs at 575/900 even in windows when idle
my rig:

motherboard- asus p5q-e(does anyone know if the epu 6 power sawing program could be the reason for this(it did not recognize the graphic card))

processor- e8400 @3ghz

memory- crucial rendition 2x2gb

graphics - xfx 4830

win xp pro sp3
ccc 9.2

read a few reviews on the 4830 by different manufacturers ati, his, powercolor, sapphire as i understood it they all downclock the gpu and memory to lower values when idle automatically (maybe i'm wrong)

i did not find info that it should downclock

i didn't try using att or riva tuner and don't want to cause i don't need to overclock it
