I am planning to build a PC. I will use it for gaming and a little bit of graphics designing. I am thinking between AMD and Intel processors. So I need help. Thanks for any reply.

Well, No other choices besides AMD or Intel. You should give a budget on the CPU so folks can recommend something.

My budget is 300$ - 350$, converted to peso is around 18,000, I think. By the way, I'm in the Philippines so the exchange rate of dollar to Peso is: $1 = 48 Php

For my proposed Intel unit:

INTEL CORE 2 DUO E7400 2.8G - 5600php
GIGABYTE GA-G31M-ES2C DDR1066/ 8-CH/ VGA - 2600 php
2 GB DDR2 PC800 GEIL (4gb) - 2,800php
SEAGATE 500GB 7200 SATA - 2800php
PALIT 9500GT 1GB 128BIT - 2550php
ATX FRONTIER CASING - 1500php

My mobo options for Intel:

GIGABYTE GA-G31M-ES2C DDR1066/ 8-CH/ VGA - don't know the price

For my AMD unit:

AMD AM2 ATHLON 64 X2 5600 2.9GHZ - 3550php (How about Phenom X3?)
GIGABYTE GA-MA78GM-S2H HDMI/ VGA/ AM2+ - 4050php
2 GB DDR2 PC800 GEIL (4gb) - 2,800php
SEAGATE 500GB 7200 SATA - 2800php
PALIT 9500GT 1GB 128BIT - 2550php
ATX FRONTIER CASING - 1500php

My mobo options for the AMD unit:

EMAXX AMD790GX-XTRM HDMI/ GLAN/ AM2+ - 5850Php
ASUS M3N78-VM NF8200/ DDR1066/ RAID/ AM2+ - 3850Php

Either build will be fine. 2 things I would change.

If you can, upgrade the video card to a 9600GT at minimum.

If you choose the AMD build, see if you can find this processor instead:

I see. I think the black series is hard to find here in the Philippines, according to my colleagues. Can you recommend Phenom X3, 2.4Ghz?

A Phenom X3 would be fine if it fits into your budget.
