9500 gt driver installation fails

Hi to all.
Pls help if someone has had a similar problem :
tried to install drivers for Geforce 9500 gt but no luck
the installation never finishes
black screen appears
fan on the card goes nuts and that's it..
i tried installing the newest drivers 185.20
some older drivers like 179.53 googled and found problem might be in driver v 180.2 or newer ..
same thing over and over..
os:win xp pro sp3
MB asus p5b
only one pcie slot..
pls help!
p.s. the card worked normally before in the pc, now i got it and decided to reinstall win and this happens

Had the same problem, then I regestered my 9500 GT and downloaded and flashed the Bios, then downloaded the new drivers and had no problems...Think they would give better instructions, but after 6 hours on my own I got it.
