I have a emachines T2895 that won't come on. I bought a new power supply, but the computer still will not boot. Is there a easy way to get pictures off of it without costing me a arm and leg.

Hello and welcome to Tom's Hardware Forums.

Two ways - both potentially inexpensive. Cheapest is to slave your hard disk from that machine into another one and simply copy (or cut) the files then paste them into the hard disk of the host machine.

If that can't be done - possibly because of a SATA disk refusing to fit an IDE connector :D buy a USB converter - $10 US on e-Bay or £15 in the UK - and slave your e-Machines disk in the other computer by that method.

The hard disk may have a decent working life ahead of it so use it as a backup drive.

What happens to that e-Machines when you press the power button - any life at all? Have you tried disconnecting the button and shorting the pins with a small screwdriver?
