Core 2 Duo on a P5ND2-SLI mobo?

I want to upgrade my CPU (pentium D 3ghz) on my P5ND2-SLI motherboard and was wondering if I could put a core 2 duo (e8400) in it.

If it helps, my current system:

Pentium D 3ghz
P5ND2-SLI
2x nvidia geforce 6600 LE
2.75gb ddr2 ram (there's actually 5gb in it, planning to get vista 64bit)
Thermaltake TR-2 500w PSU

Only problem I see is FSB. E8400 is 1333Mhz FSB. Although, The ASUS list does not show anything 45nm. P4 3.0Ghz is likely the best. New motherboard is likely worth it here. Intel P43/45 is the best right now. Hope that helps.
