My display on the widescreen monitor goes a little over each end, cutting off a character or so. Is there a way to pull in the screen a little? Is it a resolution problem?

Pictures are distorted on the wide screen. Is there a way to get the display to pull in the widescreen for some applications? How could we use the wide screen as a narrow one? What is the right proportion?

There should be buttons to adjust the picture on your monitor. They are usually next to the power button. You can auto-adjust it or you can do it manually (I dont know what monitor you have.....).
