Memory clock lie?

Umm ok,
A few weeks ago i built my own pc...
in it i put the EVGA Geforce GTX260 SSC edition

And i have installed GPU-Z and its says my GPUs memory clock is 1151MHz but on the internet it says the speed is 2304 MHz

They're the same thing. Gpu-z is reporting actual clock, and tech specs are reporting effective clock (which, for GDDR3 (what the GTX260 uses) is 2 x actual clock).

It's no lie, just different ways of looking at the same thing.
