I want to transfer all the files and programs from my desktop to a storage device so I can then load them onto my new laptop. I have plugged in the device, and it is recognised, but I have no idea how to start copying. Help please, in idiot terms. Thanks.
Open windows explorer. Sselect the drive you wish to copy. Rright-click the mouse, select copy. Put the cursor on the target drive. Rright-click and select paste. If there are a lot of files on the source drive, go get a beverage of your choice and read the newspaper - it will take a while.
