OOOOKAYYYYYY!!!!! so first off, i like to thank all you that helped me and shown me links and everything so i could get a grasp on this.

i own a i5-760 running @ 2.8GHz. i finally finished my computer and bought the Cooler Master 212+ which im happy i did. after doing my homework i came up with my settings to OC the CPU to 3.6GHz, 3.7Ghz and 3.8Ghz(which is still doing prime95)
im going to write out what i have, and if you guys have suggestions or thoughts on it please let me know.

3.6GHz:-COMPLETELY STABLE
Bclock-180x20
CPUV-1.150
VTT-1.174
PLL-auto
DRAM-1.590
memory ratio[4] which made the DRAM freq. 1480MHz *note* for my ratio i could only pick between 3,4 and 5. if i chose 5 the Freq would be 1850mhz. and i didnt know if that was safe.
QPI ratio [16] which made the freq. 5920MHz *note* i could only choose 16 or 18. 18 would take it to 6660mhz. and i really didnt know what it was for in the first place

i know that the lower the CPUV the better it is for your cpu and temps. so i heard you can use 1.1 so im slowly working my way down

3.8GHz:
Bclock-190x20
CPUV-1.112
VTT-1.174
PLL-auto

and the rest of that is the same as above.

how does everything look to you guys? do you think i can go lower in CPU voltage to the mystic 1.1v? also any tips on ram? i have cosair ddr3 @1600 but obviously its 1333 cuz of the default setting. got it to 1480. heard you didnt wanna go over 1600, but i could be wrong. tell me what you think

Looks pretty good to me. What are the core temps? What MOBO?
You could try to lower voltage to see if it will stay stable and just turn it back up if its not. If you can get the memory to run at 1850 with a small bump in voltage do it, if not 1480 will be fine. The QPI is kinda like FSB it is the bus speed between the memory and the memory controller. I would run it at 18x if you can, you might have to set your QPI/vtt/fsb voltage <(depending on MOBO) a little higher though.
It looks pretty good. Just stay under 80c under load with Prime95 and you should be fine. [:bohleyk:1]

prime was 55c and idle is at 32c. where stock clock and stock fan was 45c idle. i have the MSI p55 gd80 mobo.
ill try the 18x's that i think gets me to the 1850. ran the windows 7 rating system before and after. stock was cpu-7.2 ram-7.5 gpu 7.5 gpu 7.5 hdd 5.9. and the OCed was cpu 7.6 ram 7.7 gpu 7.6 cpu 7.6 hdd 5.9

not too shabby. thanks for the thumbs up. just needed to make sure i was good to go.
