I'm thinking of switching from Comcast to Dish and was wondering about the
DVR522. The Dish web site says that it is leased to new customers. What is
the charge per month? Looking at the specs the output to the second TV
shows channel ranges, does this mean you can use the TV tuner to switch
between channels? Can I split its output and run more than one TV? What
about local channels, if I order a package with local channels would the
second TV be able to receive them? Thanks in advance. Patrick

Do you want CABLE (best speed) for your computer?
Do you want to pay fees for each and every individual TV in your
home?

DISH/DTV is GREAT! But it does have problems when weather is nasty.

Butt, you need a DISTINCT cable run and Receiver for and to each
and every run to those individual TV's IF you all wish to watch
different things at the same time.
ANYBODY that tell you otherwise is a filthy liar.

"Splitting" the signals from a satellite dish source can be
difficult, if not costly, depending on your needs.

Consider your FUTURE needs, -then- consult a PROFESSIONAL!

check out dish network my brother gets 60 channels 3 rooms and free
installation for 38 dollars a month. That includes his local channels. There
are more expensive packages if you want them,
as far as weather when the remains of Ivan came through here in pa I lost
the signal for about 10 minutes all day. I have DirecTV.
