hi.

i have amd athlon x2 4000+@ 2.1ghz(stock speed)
MSI MS-7309 MOBO

i want to somehow OC my cpu to 2.5ghz atleast.but my mobo doesnt supports it.so i used NVIDIA SYSTEM TOOLS and overclocked it to 2.46ghz but when i restarted the pc it was again back to the stock speed .i tried changing the FSB speed many times but its always the same case.i hope u would suggest me any method to somehow overclock my CPU.thanks!!!!!!!!

That is not a very good board but if the options are not in the bios then you are out of luck. Voltage bump and better cooled or higher quality ram will improve your clocks but not by much. Trust me I have been there and spent plenty of my own money learning the hard way.

Yeah, if you dont have options in bios then I would say your out of luck.... You can pick up another board cheap that will help you. probably in the 70-80 dollar range. I have a Asus M4A77TD mobo and it was 85 I think, but i'm clocked up from stock 3.0ghz to 3.8ghz on air with my phenom ii x3 740 be.
