Hey i was playing Quake Live then suddenly my PC crashed (Graphics crash, get it occasionally) i restarted the pc and my opening screen had blue dots all over it. It finally get's into windows and it's running standard 800x600 resolution, that i'm unable to change. I check in the Hardware Manager and it says the device is unable to start so i did the following:
1. Uninstalled all previous drivers, restarted, then installed new ones.
2. Removed all but one stick of my RAM.
3. Changed PCI-E slot on my graphics card
4. Reinstalled my nforce drivers.
Still no luck? Is my gcard fried or is it something else?
Fried? Yeah, probably. Same thing happened to me, only I was playing CoD4 at the time. I also have an 8800GT 512, too. Interesting coincidence. Do you also have artifacts on your display? I do, all the way down to my POST and BIOS screens.
EVGA has approved my RMA, but I'm beginning to think I have further problems. (See my recent update on my Dead 8800GT post.)
