Any installed Screensaver will not run....but recently while working on a problem I needed to briefly run in Safe Mode, Alas Screen saver will work there.....Any ideas?

Check your power settings. Does the display turn off after x minutes?

Do you have DVD software installed?
It could change your screensaver properties.
