From what I've been able to determine, your system does not have an AGP or PCI-E port for a graphics card. You would need to use a PCI graphics card (note: there is a difference between PCI and PCI-E and the two are not compatible).

In your case, I would probably recommend a Geforce 8400GS like one of these. Not too pricey for a low end card.

I also need to upgrade my T4010 with a graphics card (for Second Life - schoolwork). It requires either:
nVidia GeForce 6600 or better; or
ATI Radeon 8500, 9250 or better; or
Intel 945 chipset (mine is 865).
The machine's power supply is 300 WATT. Any suggestions?

but what is the max that the computer can handle for the model and i mean like spec wise. how many MHz it can handle and so forth.
