I recommend an LG blu-ray player. I've had 2 of them (the first one got destroyed when I shipped my PC after someone from the post office droped the box), but they have both worked great and have been a good price. When I was first looking into buying one, they seemed to have the best user feedback.

LG works great for me. I can play Blue Ray and HD-DVD Disc. I have not tried the others.
