I recently started playing everquest2, my onboard crap card doesnt do it justice. I need upgrade badly. hp pavillion dual-core 2.4 GHz, 4 GB ram; just not sure what is best card to get, im trying to stay round $100. Lookin at GeForce 9800
GT? any suggestions? Comments?

Well better with a ATI 4830...Get which ever(4830/9800) is cheaper...The 4830 performs as good as or better than a 9800GT overclocked...

But before buying the card, make sure the power supply present in the computer has 6 pin power connector for the graphics card...else you would have to buy a new power supply...
Else get a 4670, which doesn't require additional power connectors and performs similar to a 9600GT...

Might not need a 6-pin connector from the power supply provided you're not running extra hard drives, optical drives, PCI cards, etc. A molex to 6-pin adapter could do the trick if your power supply is strong enough.

Check the wattage output and 12V Amp rating on the power supply (or provide the make and model number) and perhaps someone can double check to see what your system could support.
