So I tried to overclock things, then I tried to play starcraft and it kept crashing and giving me the blue screen of death. I kept lowering my multiplier and unclocked it back to normal, still did it.. I let the computer cool down and then it was fine, but now when I turn my computer on it says "Overclocking failed. Enter setup, F1 enter setup F2 enter default values. Just about every time I turn my computer on

Clear cmos, enter BIOS, restore default settings, and try not to go down this path in the future.

Cmos? Hmm maybe a slight overclock would be ok if I read up a bit more.

You should be able to overclock safely and with stability, as long as you have decent cooling and the know how. There are multiple guides here, as well as a countless else where.

It crashes all the time without overheating.
Specs:
Phenom 955
Asus evo 880 or 890
Ram ripjaws 1600 7-8-7-24 but my computer defaults to 1333 9-9-9-24 so I changed it but it keeps crashing. Not sure if it's the ram but it still crashes
