Recently I purchased a set of memory in the topic, and it requires the user to tweak the settings in the BIOS because it can run better than the 800MHz JEDEC #2 standard. Mainly the changes involve setting the memory speed to 533MHz, and changing the voltage, and presumably the motherboard would have the other settings correct. However, upon doing this, I obtained errors usually resulting in a BSOD.
I even assumed that the motherboard was auto-setting the timings wrong, so I went back and changed the CL, etc. to their rated timings. Still wrong. So I was doing some more research today and I realized that the one setting I didn't check was the tRC.
Now presumably the memory settings this company rates the memory for are reflective of the EPP #1 standard. That requires a tRC of 48. However, when I attempt to change the setting in my motherboard, the maximum value is 42. Am I left stuck at the slower speed on my Asrock K10N78M motherboard?
