Hi there i had an 7600gt xfx with the newest nvidia drivers 182.08 loaded and everything worked fine,resolutions set to 1440x900 32bit colour BUT i got 2x forsa 8800gt 512mb 256bit and want to run them in sli mode. My pc came up with an message stating that ime not running SLI, so went into nvidia control panel and enabled sli a message poped up stating "some applications need to be closed" clicked yes and my res. went 800x600 grying out the slider. I have taken the c ards of of SLI,Uninstalled the drivers ETC. but can't get the resolution right the slider is still grayed out can someone please help me.

Try going into system properties/hardware/device manager and uninstall your video cards. It'll ask you you to restart - say yes - then at restart Windows will detect the video cards and Windows will ask you if you want to search the internet for drivers. Hit cancel. Then go into your Nvidia folder 182.08 and run the setup program. This is what works for me whenever I install a new video card. You have to uninstall the previous card first. Good luck!
