Installed a new hard drive now CD downloads wont work?

Everything else is working, but I am trying to insall the programs I need for school (Ofiice and Adobe) But I keep getting error messages? I recently had to put a new hard drive into my laptop (A Inspiron) and I got Vista and everything else back into the laptop, but as I was trying to install the programs for Adobe Creative suite and the Windows Office Pro I keep getting messages saying that there were errors. I checked them out on another computer and they are working dine, but I can't seem to figure out what it is about the computer that is not letting me install the programs. I really need help ASAP because I am already behind and I really need to get this taken care of. I checked in my computer management and it says that the DVD/RW is working...
