How do I delete a folder without deleting contents

I believe that you want to delete the folder's name and not the contents. This can be done by using "my Computer" and Listing the contents of the Folder the name of which you no longer want. Highlight the names of the files you want to keep and move these to a new place in the file hierarchy, either a new folder or "up the tree". Then delete the folder (which will be empty if you moved all of the files within it or will have only those files you no longer want).
