Suspected 88GT Fried

Hey, I'm getting some weird dots (artifacts i believe they're called) and the card is "unable to start - error code 10" So i ordered myself a 285. I also though i may as well upgrade my ram why i'm at it. I bought the ram, put it in now the computer doesnt beep or anything, i put the old ram back in the computer beeps, keyboard lights up etc but i get no display at all... the new ram is CL5 XMS2 - 1.8v my old was CL4 2.2v, is it something in my bios? when my new card comes do you think i'll be able to actually see to do it (even putting my old ram in)

Or is it a much bigger problem.

650w Stealth something or other (pretty decent if i recall)

4GB XMS2 CL5 6400
Cant remember my Core 2 Duo CPU (2.6 i think)
250gb maxtor hdd
dvd rw
dvd/cd tray

and thats it, doesn't use that much power i dont think my psu should be fine.

What is the beep times and length ?

i usually get one short beep on startup when it's running fine. with my new ram in it doesnt beep at all but i got my card today so when i get home from work i'll give it a try hoping it's not my mobo.

your mobo is gone bad or it doesn't give any RAM diagnostic code like it should and needs upgraded because of this
