GeForce 260 sound issues

I have been trying to get my GeForce 260 to run for 3 days now. EVGA and Asus keep pushing me off to the other. I can get the card to run but I can not get any sound from it, either thru an HDMI cable or thru a SPDF connection. I have downloaded Realtek drivers but that hasn't helped either.

Does anyone have any ideas?


***Since writing this I have found several similliar problems on this subject.

Connect the S/PDIF Cable that came with the Video Card one end to Video Card the other end to S/PDIF OUT on your motherboard. In your sound control settings inable your Video Card as primary device.
