I am getting into web design , and a LITTLE gaming, gaming not a priority

what is the best video card for a desktop.

i have the i7 processor and i am looking to spend 150-250 but will spend what is necessary if it matters.

prefer newegg.com to buy.

your not going to need spend that much money on a video card for cs4, you could spend under $100 if its just for cs4.

It also helps to know what resolution and size your monitor is but ill make a suggestion anyway.

If you REALLY want to spend that much, get the HIS 4870 1 GB Ice Q Turbo or something like that.

Because Creative Suite 4 can use GPUs to do some of the heavy lifting on the graphics, I'd suggest something in the neighborhood of a 4770 or even a 4850. The speed-up in processing and display rendering is VERY noticeable in Photoshop.

also should mention that both cards that i suggested above will be able to give you solid mid-level gaming.

Does a video card really speed up PS? I have a cd from a friend lying around and didn't get the time to install it, is it really noticeable?

He said cs4 not only ps. Premiere will totally speed up due to the video card. And ps too.
