I have two GTX260 216 superclocks in SLI mode. The top card idles around 50 degrees so my friend told me that I could increase the card's fan speed to about 70-80% and it will run cooler. Ive been doing this for about 4 days and so-far im satisfied... but will it harm my fan? is running it at 80% all day bad?

Load temperatures:

80-90º is average
115º is threshhold
127º burnout

Remove the dust from the fan. Reapply thermal paste.
It won't hurt the fan to run at 80% all day.
