Planning to buy a card under $220

Ok, so I need a few recommendations for a graphic card under $220.
I intend to play
Crysis
Call of Duty 4
Dead Space
Supreme Commander
Far Cry 2
Fallout 3
S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Clear Sky
etc...
I want to be maxing out most of these and Crysis on high settings with good looking frame rates.
I was thinking of buying the HD 4850, and some people said that it's also a good idea to spend about $10 - 20 more and get a 4870.
I also thought about the 9800GTX+, but the card is WAY too long to fit in my case, and I'll probably have to get a shorter model
of the HD 4850 unless I change the computer case.
Recommendations would be nice.

Between the two, I would ultimately buy the HD 4870 1GB since I currently play Fallout 3 and the HD 4870 1GB simply crushes the GTX 260 (core 216) @ 1920 x 1200.

Overall both card are nearly equal (within 2FPS of each other @ 1920 x 1200) in most cases. The GTX 260 outperforms the HD 4870 in Dead Space and GTA IV.
