Hello, I am building a new computer. I am fairly new to building a computer, and would like to know if there are any conflicts, problems, or things i should replace with my current build.

And I'm runinng Vista Home Premium 32bit.

Also, will I be able to overclock the processor to 3.0 without modifying voltage?

If you mean the elder scrolls, i have the game, but i'm not building the computer just to play it.

I was referring to your username lol, I recognize the reference.

As for your build, it looks pretty good. The Caviar Black version of that drive is a little faster, but more expensive so maybe not worth it for you. You should get a 64bit OS, Microsoft will send you and upgrade DVD if you pay for shipping. 64 bit allows you to see all of your ram.

Is this a gaming build? Because if it is then a dual core would give you better results since most games don't use all 4 cores of the quad processors, the higher clock speeds of the E8500 for the same price as the Q6600 would do better.

Lol, yeah i realized a couple minutes after posting. Thanks for the advice, i'll consider it.

Depending on the types of games your playing will determine the benefit of dual vs quad core cpu. I play a lot of RTS games and they seem to noticably advantage over dual cores.

If you do go quad, get the Q8300 or Q9400 instead. They are faster clock for clock, run cooler, and should OC pretty well.

Change the mobo to the GA-EP45-UD3R. No need for the DDR3 support.
