Preventing anonymous logon

Hello,
My computer has Windows XP and I have anonymous logons occurring on my computer. There is one anonymous logon event when the computer is turned on and there are sometimes multiple logons when connected to the internet. My IP address has been blocked by some servers due to computer running as a zombie/bot computer. How can I get rid of the anonymous logon and remove the IP block?

IF it is that bad i would reinstall windows?

Thanks Area 51 (the truth is out there!). You are probably correct. I have been thinking I would need to reinstall windows but have been putting it off hoping there would be some other way.

When the issues are that bad,it is just best to reinstall to make sure you are rid of it all!
