Memory Latency

HEllo everybody i have a little problem and i was hoping you could help me on this..
I did a memory latency benchmark (Everest Ultimate 5.02) and i got 84ms..
My system has an Intel E7600 on GA-EP43-DS3 with 2 GeIL CL5-5-5DDR2800 2GB.
Now i've benchmarked the same memory on my AMD pc and i get 59ms.
Athlon 64 x2 3800+ on MSI k9N Neo v2
What's the case here? Is there something wrong with my Intel setup?

It might be because on that AMD platform cpu has memory controller integrated into it and access to memory is direct through the fast HyperTransport link, while on your intel platform memory controller is part of the chipset and FSB is used to access the memory(and its a bit slower than HT i assume). Im not 100% on that but thats my understanding of it.
