Hey guys, I am getting ready to build a new i7 920 and can't decide which motherboard to go with. I am torn between the EVGA E758-A1 3-Way SLI and the ASUS P6TD Deluxe LGA. Any thoughts or info would be greatly appreciated.
You will need this 8-pin Power Extension Cable for most Cases that has Bottom Mounted PSU. 1ST PC CORP. 12" 8-pin EPS extension cable Model CB-8M-8F - Retail $8.99
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6812706004
Subtotal without MIR's being deducted or shipping costs = $1435.80 MIR's total $60.00 Total with MIR's deducted from Subtotal and before shipping costs = $1375.80
Did not know if you needed a Monitor. So did not figure one in this Build Specs.
Hope this helps you out some..

i honestly dont see a difference between asus p6t and p6td besides pcb, but do you really need a x16 x16 x8 instead of a x16 x8 x8? I mean even a gtx 285 doesnt even max out a x8 lane.
The only thing I am running is a evga 260 over clocked. Tell you what I did, I got an ASRock X58 Extreme. I have no idea if it is any good but thought I would give it a try, Had great reviews at newegg and only cost $169.00. Seems none of the X58 boards get very good reviews anyway and this had 19 reviews and they were all great, I will keep you posted as to how it works out.
I wanted the ASRock X58 Extreme as my first choice, but could never get it. Newegg was the only retailer that sold it while I was looking, but it was always sold out. I opted for the pricier EVGA E758-A1 3-Way SLI as my second choice. Let me know how yours goes, and I'll let you know how my EVGA goes.

I just put it together and it is running great. A very well built board, I had heard that Asrock was a part of asus and as I looked at them both I can believe it, they look very much alike. The build went really smooth, booted right up the first time, also I might had that the board is very well laid out, no problems getting to any thing, my only gripe is the manuals they give you suck but still good enough to get by. I don't use them anyway lol. This is a great board and the price makes it even better.
