So i wanted to reapply the thermal paste on a 5 year old computer that was given to me and after struggling to get the heat sink off, and when i finally did i have never seen a processor like this before and have no clue how to apply thermal paste.

I took a picture and attached it below so you can see the processor. I think its just the small rectangle n the middle but i don't know.

Apply a thin layer of thermal paste on the middle part that's already covered with old thermal paste. First clean it up using rubbing alcohol and a lint free cloth. Then apply new thermal paste.

Thanks you so much. Once i took that heat sink off and saw that old CPU i had no clue what to do. I couldn't tell i that was thermal paste or not.
