Hi Guys,

In my previous post for CPU temperature concerns, I followed Zorg and xthekidx's recommendations and thanks to them, I have taken steps towards resolving it. I have ordered the stand for my fan which i will set up within a day or 2. The temp shown in BIOS are as follows with stock fan and good Thermal paste:

CPU - 47 deg C
Board - 33 deg C
MCP55 - 59 deg C

Please refer to this thread : http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/ [...] s#t1907742

Now i have a new issue to highlight. I had installed Vista 64 bit Home premium OEM edition on my hard drive. While installing it for the 1'st time, Everything boots up perfectly. Then when i restart the PC after shutting down for the 2'nd time, IT would start loading the VISTA (i.e. I see the bar loading) and then there is a BLANK screen. After this there is Blue sceen with a message at the bottom saying physical memory dump. I thought it was a hard drive issue, so i went and got another harddrive. Re-installed the OS again. Same issue on the 2'nd restart after installation. Do you think there is a WIRING Issue. Because before i ran into the trouble with the Stock fan temp, everything was running allright.

Then Zorg recommended using Ultimate Boot CD and run memtest86+, as it might be RAM issue. I did that earlier today. IT passed 9 tests without any errors reported. I even tried the regular memtest86 also and similar results.

Then just to test i tried doing a STRESS TEST on the CPU. I used the following apps:
StressCPU 20021024
Mersenne Prime Test

I found similar issues during the runtime of both the above highlighted apps. They would run for about 3 to 5 mins and then The screen COMPLETELY GOES BLANK. I tried hitting the keys on the keyboard or move the mouse without any Response. I am completely confused what else could be the issue.

PLEASE LET ME KNOW A SOLUTION if anyone has come across something similar. Thanks in advance.

voltage?? hmmm...didn't think about that....

i have this PSU : http://www.lucomputers.com/product [...] ent_id=164

Thought it was good enough to provide the right power and voltage to the board. I will post the voltage info from my BIOS when i get back home later tonight.
