Pci-e 2?

When buying a replacement for my geforce 7950 gt, do i need to worry about the pci-e number? I know my slot is pci express x16, but don't know if 2 or 1 makes a difference. Thanks

It`ll make no real difference even if you`re going for a super fast X2 card in which case PCI-E 1.0 or 1.1 might take a few percent off the maximum speed.

PCI-E 2.0 is twice as fast as 1.0, What is your motherboard? I'll check for you when I can if you like

Venom is correct, but it is a moot point as no card can currently use the full bandwidth of 1 you'll lose about 1-5% using a by using a 1.0 vs 2.0 ie only a benchmark would see the difference.
