Hi

before i begin let me tell my set up-
to many specs to say so heres links-

computer-

sound card-

(hooked to LG system via a/v cables)

Home theater system-

First off, is it even possible to get surround sound with games with this setup?
games like crysis,left 4 dead, all the recent ones?

I have played dvd movies on both the pc and through the LG dvd player and both give full surround sound through all speakers.

I'd really like to get to the bottom of it since this entire time having this I have only used the front two speakers when playing games.

Probably not; the HT system goes out of its way to specify only DVD's are getting upconverted
