Hi I built a gaming PC last year with a GIGABYTE GA-EP45-DS3L P45, I placed 4GB of OCZ DDR2 1000 (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820227280) in it, which I have had no luck overclocking. Everytime I've tried to run a hard ram test on prime95 I get bsod, work in progress I'm planning on replacing it with better ram once I get my bios flashed.

Anyways I've been running through the bios updates and I have a few questions, I am looking to load up this windows 7 disk after I complete my bios so I need to know a few things. http://www.gigabyte.com.tw/Support/Motherboard/BIOS_Model.aspx?ProductID=2844#anchor_os This is the list of BIOS updates, F8, F9, and F10 are the updates I'm looking to get, especially the F8 one to support higher OC rate for the memory.

Now the GIGABYTE mobos have a special feature that has automated recovery against a failed bios flash so I'm probably less afraid of doing it then I should be. All of my random text comes down to one easy question, I do not know much about them so please excuse me if the question is.. stupid. If I want to get all 3 updates, does the newest one have all of the old updates? Do I need to flash one at a time starting with the oldest one after my mobo was installed? How would I tell which one I do or do not have already?

Sorry for the random text and noob questions but I really just need a little guidance.

Thanks!

My brother has the same MB. I havent noticed any oc gain due to bios upgrade. But if you really want it, then the latest version has all of the updates. However, some versions overclocks better and it doesnt need to be the newest. Yes, it does have dual bios, however I heard many opinions that it doesnt work. I donno, never needed it. Ańd btw it's quite not good MB to OC.

DID you increase RAM voltage? The OCZ needs 2.1-2.2v.

Download the F10 BIOS. It works best for this board. (It has a little bit more vdroop than F9b BETA but that's still fine for your need).
Read Page 98 of your manual. It explains how to use QFlash. DO NOT USE @BIOS TO FLASH FROM WINDOWS

The BIOS updates are cumulative, meaning you only have to flash the latest version. For example F10 contains all the fixes of F9. Also BEFORE flashing, set your system to stock speeds/settings IF the PC is OCEd.

Wrong! Me and many others use this board and it can easily hit 3.6-4Ghz+ on E8xxx CPUs. If one knows what they are doing it's easy.

edit:
@OP:
If you need help with OCing read this guide: http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/forum2.php?config=tomshardwareus.inc&cat=29&post=245679&page=1&p=1&sondage=0&owntopic=3&trash=0&trash_post=0&print=0&numreponse=0&quote_only=0&new=0&nojs=0
Your BIOS looks very similar to this P35 BIOS.

Also WHY are you trying to OC the RAM??? Also list full specs (and settings you tried under MIT)
