POWERCOLOR AX4890 1GBD5-UH Radeon HD 4890 1GB

There are some questions i have...

1) How is POWERCOLOR's reputation? Should I stay away from them?
2) Is the OCed version worth the extra $15-20?
3) Is it worth waiting for some better cooling (IceQ4+, Vapor-X, etc.)?
4) Is there any other places that i can find good deals on an OCed 4890?
5) Will there be any price drops in the near future?
6) Any idea if or when there will be a 2GB version?

Thanks

1) Powercolour is average as far a partners go, sapphire and xfx have better support.

2)Probalby not, I'm sure youcould hit 900 on your own, more than that I'm nto sure thoguh.

3) Yes, if you want to have a better overclock, and enjoy silence. If you plan to run at stock buy stock, the better coolers will be a good chunk more expensive.

4) Newegg will almsot always have lower prices.. depends where you live.

5) Yes, expect new MIR's to hit and as soon as 275's are actually in stock over at new egg I'm sure the 4890 will drop a few dollars.

6) Probably will be eventually, at least from sapphire, but it wont be worth the extra price. 2gb gives you almost no gains even at 30"+ resolutions. Literally almost none, 1fps at most..

The Powercolor 900 one seems to be hitting 1ghz a lot. I'd go for the Asus though, it has the votage tweak mod and I read somewhere that it was covered by the warranty.

All the 4890's are going to be the same at performance. Just get the cheapest or coolest looking.
