Ok, i'm building a home pc for my family

Asus Mobo with intergrated graphics
Athlon X2
One Harddrive and DVD Burner

Will a 300 watt rosewill psu be adequate?

I wouldn't put a rosewill in a gaming pc, but i wonder, will it be fine for family use

A 300W PSU should be able to power that setup just fine... but after reading some reviews on Newegg about the Rosewill 300W, it doesn't seem to have that great of quality.

As stated. 300W is fine, but go for a better brand.

Now, what is an affordable brand?
An antec 380 is 50 bucks on newegg
Is there a more affordable brand you all would recommend?

Corsair, cheaper than replacing the entire system.

I've have 3 Rosewill, 2 550W and 1 600W. Used them over a year and not a problem.

Best option is this Antec EA 380W for $45 from Newegg

$24.99 FS. Should be fine as long as you do not load it up and leave causing a sensational fire while you're away shopping. :ouch:
