Hi all

I am trying to upgrade from 2 gig to 4 gig pc6400 ddr2 800, all 1 gig sticks, but will not load windows,starts boot and recongizes all 4 gig as dual channel ,but stops while loading windows.I have a Asus A8M2N-LA mobo with a amd 5200+ with the latest bios,which is locked.It will work on 3 gig but drops to single channel.The error message is IRQL not less or equal.They are 2 brands of chips with different timings and will run together as have tried the 2 brands side by side in the same channel.Visa 32bit.Any ideas

Hmmmm,your not the first to have this experience,,it seems that some mobo's do not play well with 4x1 of ram,it seems to be a timing issue,sell off your 4x1 and go for 2x2..:)
