The local cable system's HBO package, which costs about the same per
month as DirecTV's, offers unique HBO channels on each numbered channel.
DirecTV offers the west coast feeds of the main channels, which means
it only duplicates what was on earlier that day. It counts the delayed
channels as part of the package. The cable system ofers the same number
of channels but each is different - HBO Comedy, HBO Zone, and so on.
So, for the same money, you get about half as much original HBO
programming on DirecTV as compared to cable.
Just a small gripe, but I thought I'd mention it. Mostly I'd like to
see ZONE and COMEDY. I only get the HBO package when fresh runs of
SOPRANOS and DEADWOOD are on, then I cancel until next time.
