Last night I set my set my PC to turn itself on before I got home from work and both the bedroom and kitchen fuses had blown. Whenever I plug my PC in now the bedroom fuse blows. I can plug my monitor, laptop etc in but my PC blows the fuse everytime.

I have been living in this apartment for 3 months and never had any trouble before now. The apartment has one bedroom, a bathroom and a kitchen. The lights and power sockets share the same 10 A fuse. The kitchen has its own 10 A and a 16 A for the oven. The bedroom and bathroom share a 10 A fuse. My PC has 600 W PSU.

I live in Scandinavia. Please help.

sounds like a PSU or power lead problem. have you got another "kettle lead" you could test with? Have you tried in a different room also?

Same problem. The only thing I haven't tried replacing is my PSU or other components.

I assume that you are on 240VAC? If so, you have a maximum of 2400 watts available given a 10A fuse. It is possible that you have added some appliances to that circuit, such that when you turn on your PC it takes out the fuse.

You state that your kitchen is on a seperate fuse. Perhaps try your PC on that circuit (disconnect 'fridge etc. first) and see if that fuse blows.

Then go looking for PC issues. PSU would be my first suspect...

Thank you for your help. PSU is still under warranty so I took it back to where I bought it from. It's going to take them 2 weeks to repair it. Will report back then.

That's strange. Normally, no one repairs PSU's. It's generally not cost effective.
