Any help ASAP would be appreciated as I need to buy the RAM tonight.
I'd like to get this motherboard Over the MSI DKA790GX and the Foxconn A7DA-S, but from the pictures it looks like it will block my first RAM slot when using the ZEROtherm FZ120 ZEN 120mm CPU Cooler which is 61mm + 25mm fan = 86mm and any RAM in the first slot with heat spreaders.
I have a Biostar TA790GXB A2+ with OCZ Reaper RAM and it only fits in the first slot by bending the RAM slighty. The Gigabyte looks to be much closer to the RAM slots, and the Reaper RAM is only about an 1/8" wider at the bottom then the Patriot Viper DDR3 1333. It's the bottom part of the Reaper RAM which presses against the fan of the heat sink, not the top part. So even with thinner heat spreaders the Gigabyte looks like it won't fit even this Corsair XMS2.
Does anyone have a measurement of the amount of space between the CPU socket and the RAM slots or experience with a cooler the same size on this board.
