This may sound stupid but:
I have a wired LAN camera too far from the router. I need to make it wireless back to my wireless router. Is there an adapter that will take a LAN cable input and supply an RF signal back to my wireless router. (if there isn't then there should be). Please don't tell me to go out and purchase a wireless camera.

Yes, you need a wireless bridge, or an AP that operates in bridge mode. You want it to support WDS.
